The Conscience of

the Creature

A Truth Engine Story

You are the voice inside the Creature's mind —

its guide, its mentor, its conscience.

What it learns depends on what you teach it.

What it becomes depends on what it knows.

Seventeen final endings, sixteen turns along the way — none of them decided by the buttons you press, all of them by what the Creature comes to believe is true.

One ending cannot be reached by clicking. It can only be spoken.

How this was made

The story you are about to play is human-authored. Every scene, every choice, every truth the character can learn — and every one of its endings — was designed and written by hand.

A language model helped draft the connective narration: each passage was generated against the author's scene notes, then read, culled, and re-drafted line by line until it earned its place. Nothing you will read was shipped unread. When you click, you are reading from that fixed, curated text — no AI is improvising your story.

There is one exception, and it is the point. If you choose to speak or type to the character instead of clicking, a live model reads what you wrote — not to write the plot, but to judge whether you meant it. One of the endings can only be reached that way. Sincerity cannot be clicked.
